NEW ORLEANS —

Just weeks after the New Orleans City Council confirmed Anne Kirkpatrick as the New Orleans Police Department Superintendent, two grievances were filed back in November.

One complaint is in regard to a uniform violation, and the other accuses Kirkpatrick of lying on the job.

Rafeal Goyeneche with the Metropolitan Crime Commission says both complaints aren’t serious.

Complaints about NOPD are usually investigated by the department’s Public Integrity Bureau, led by Stella Czmient.

In this case, PIB officials want to outsource the complaints’ investigation to prevent any conflicts of interest.
