New trends are emerging about crime in New Orleans, as the city looks for their next permanent police chief. The newest Metro Crime Commission numbers show crime is still down 18 percent compared to this time last year, but shootings and killings amongst juveniles are up. Data from the commission shows the amount of juvenile shooting victims is up by almost 30 percent compared to this time last year. Just this weekend we saw a shooting in the city where a 15 year old was killed, and an 11 year old was hurt.
